Dear Bikur Cholim of Crown Heights,
What you have provided for us here in NY during our medical journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. To the whole crew of volunteers, we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are on shlichus in a small town in the U.S. When my newborn was 3 weeks old, we were informed that we would need to travel for medical treatment.
Our 3 year old boy was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of yenamachle and would need highly specialized medical care available at only a few select locations in the U.S. We were deliberating which medical center to travel to. Our radiation oncologist leaned forward: “Go where you have family.”
With that, our decision was made. We would go to NY. Because Bikur Cholim of Crown Heights became our family.
From apartment set-up, to meals, to cleaning help, to groceries, to playgroup for my toddler to chessed girls, to rides and even Chanukah gifts, Bikur Cholim had us covered. They were truly indispensable to us during our stay in Crown Heights. As we depart NY after our son’s life-saving treatment we’d like to say thank you from the bottom of our heart..
Bikur Cholim truly lives up to its name as a moisad of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka. I’m sure she is smiling down from on High. We owe you all a tremendous debt of gratitude. The care we received went above and beyond. Beautiful baby clothes would arrive at my door. A lavish party was arranged for my son’s 4 birthday. And I had an open line of communication for any need that arose- big or small. BH our son is doing so well and is responding to treatment. We are heading home and can’t wait to share the good news once he is completely disease free, IYH.
Thank you,
signed, a very grateful family
