Tzfat’s Otzar HaStam is putting the final touches on a life-size sculpture celebration of the Alef-Beit: Gan HaOtiot.
Otzar HaStam, a tourist attraction in Tzfat, Israel, is a hands-on biblical adventure into the job of a Sofer – scribe, including a theme-park style multi-sensory ride, a game show and an educational scribe’s workshop.
The center’s newest attraction features hand-crafted, massive sculptures of each Hebrew letter with artistic and depictive artwork, and arranged in a walk through the garden that greets visitors.
Gan HaOtiot’s grand opening will mark the 15th yahrtzeit of Tzfat’s Head Shliach, Rabbi Aryeh Leib Kaplan obm, and complements the other attractions featured at the center, which was opened five years ago on the 10th yahrtzeit.
All are invited to attend the grand opening this Friday, 16 Iyar (April 26) at Otzer HaStam, 10:30am. The ceremony will be attended by local Rabbanim and dignitaries, and will features a speical tshura printed for the event, a siyum Masecht by the Kaplan family, and an in-depth tour of the garden.
The Otzar HaStam visitors centers offers groups a chance to tour Torah’s scribal arts, learing about the making of Mezuzot, Tefillin, and Torahs in a fun, interactive, and hands on way. More information on the center, the event, and other special programs can be found online at www.hastam.org.

so nice!
beuatiful!
beautiful shkoach!
That was my first thought too.
Letters come in all sizes, and each one is as alive as the next. From the pictures, these seem to be larger than the ones in most of my books.
stunning!!!
What is “life size” for letters?
beautiful!!
