Rivkah Raskin, a long-time Crown Heights resident and daughter a famed and celebrated Lubavitch chossid, passed away on Sunday night, eve of 25 Teves 5773.
She was 57.
A smart woman with an incredible memory, she was always happy and full of life, her family members said.
Rivkah had many friends who loved her and enjoyed being in her company. She was a generous person who never forgot a birthday and gave beautiful gifts to celebrate.
She had immense respect for her father Rabbi Dovid Raskin OBM, who led the Lubavitch Youth Organization and the Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch of 770 Eastern Parkway.
His third daughter, she looked after her father for many years and made sure he was well taken care of.
She is survived by her sister Dvonia Rubin and brother Yitzchok Raskin, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will take place Monday leaving at 12:30pm from Shomrei Hadas chapels and passing by 770 Eastern Parkway at 1:30pm.
The Raskin family will be sitting Shiva at 634 Montgomery street

We Rivkah’s cousins living abroad witnessed whenever we visited her how good people in the community spent time with her and thank them for being there for her.

If you spent time with Rivka, You knew you wer going to have a good laugh. she was the most fun person to talk to.
she was smart and funny. I loved spending lots of hours with her I will miss her alot. She would always greet everyone with a smile and a good word. She was sharp & with it. I will deffinitly miss her.
Terrible, terrible news. May she be a gute beteh and may we all see her down here with Moshiach now.
Dvonia is the unsung hero of the raskin family. she has tirelessly tended to the needs of her FATHER and her family .She has been taking care of her family since she was a young girl in school . she is strong and proud!she is a beautiful neshama and hashem should bentch her with Brochas Ad bli DAI!! We were just laughing together on shabbos and enjoying ourselvs. We were planning on going to the wedding next week together. We were dreaming of going to Israel to all the kivrai Tzaddikim. You were allready thinking of going shopping to buy a present when Hashem had other plans for you, to be reunited with your beloved father who you missed so much and loved you so much.
