Hundreds of people recently turned out for a memorable event at Chabad Midtown’s Fifth Avenue center in Manhattan.
Birthright Alumni, young professionals and midtown locals showed up in droves to attend 15 workshops sharing insights on Judaism and Torah.
The evening was comprised of two one-hour sessions spread out on multiple floors at Chabad Midtown’s Fifth Avenue building.
Presenters for the first session workshops included Rabbi YY Jacobson, Rabbi Chaim Miller, Mrs. Malka Werde, Rabbi Simcha Weinstein, Rabbi Levi Shmotkin, Mrs. Yocheved Sidoff, Rabbi Yisrael Kugel and Mrs. Kiki Halperin-Newman.
Presenters for the second session workshops were Rabbi Yisroel Wilhelm, as well Yocheved Sidoff, Rabbi YY Jacobson, Mrs. Kiki Halperin Newman, Rabbi Simcha Weinstein, Rabbi Chaim Miller and Mrs. Malka Werde.
At the conclusion of the workshops, Rabbi YY Jacobson addressed the entire assemblage and tehillim was recited.
Attendees enjoyed sushi, wine and cheese organized by Mendy Weisz.
The program was presented as part of an ongoing series of events for Birthright Alumni organized in conjunction with Mayanot Birthright Alumni Director, Rabbi Dov Oliver.
Rabbi Yehoshua and Brocha Metzger of Chabad Midtown spoke and encouraged all to follow-up on the uplifting evening by adding in Torah study and Mitzvah observance.
