Shluchim, men, and women from the multiple Chabad shuls in the greater Toronto area gathered at 770 Chabad Gate for a Yud Shvat Melava Malka. The attendees were welcomed to a lavish catered Seudah and elegant decor.
As the attendees found their seats and people began to fill the room, elegant Chassidic music filled the room, played by Chaim Freund, a talented pianist and a Chazzan at Shaarei Shomayim one of Toronto’s premier shuls.
The host and MC for the evening was Reb Yehoshua Lang, a renowned personal injury lawyer, and managing partner at Lang Lawyers. Reb Yehoshua, in his unique style, set the tone for the evening.
Rabbi Yossi Gansburg, Rav of the Chabad Shtiebel, and Shaliach to the greater Lubavitch community, recited the Rebbe’s Kapital.
Rabbi Zalman Aron Grossbaum, the head Shaliach to Southern Ontario, recited a kapitel Tehillim for a local shlucha who is in desperate need of a refuah shlemah: Chana Bas Sultana.
Now for the second time, the community enjoyed the newly formed Chabad Toronto Acapella, led by Rabbi Shur, head of the local Chabad Cheder, Rabbi Zaltzman, founder, and dean of Mesivta Ohr Temimim Lubavitch, Rabbi Weinfeld, a Local Melamed and renowned Ba’al Menagen, and Chaim Freund.
Rabbi Menachem Shusterman, an active community member, and Mashpia to Mesivta Ohr Temimim Lubavitch, shared emotional insights about the relationship between Chassidim and our Rebbe.
The highlight of the evening was the keynote speaker, Rabbi Mordechai Dinerman executive editor in chief, of the Jewish Learning Institute, Rabbi Dinerman captivated and inspired all members of the community with his meaningful thoughts, on the topic of Embracing the Rebbe’s Mindset of Positivity, Growth and Success.
The energy in the air was palpable, and people left feeling uplifted and invigorated to strengthen their connection to the Rebbe. As a local member, Chaim Stein put it, “I was not sure what to expect as this was my first time attending a Melava Malka of this nature at 770 Chabad Gate. I was so impressed with every aspect of the event, I left feeling empowered, and eagerly awaiting the next event.”
Rabbi Moshe Spalter, the visionary behind the event, together with, Rabbi Shur, Yossi Reinitz, Pasy Wolosow, Levi Rosenfeld, and Itchy Grossbaum all put in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure the success of the evening.
A big Yasher Koach goes out to Yossi and Lelach Reinitz, who put in many tireless hours to ensure every detail was done in the most elegant, beautiful, and organized manner.
