The streets of Crown Heights were filled joyous singing and dancing on Sunday, as students and teachers from many local schools joined in welcoming a new Sefer Torah in memory of R’ Michoel Teitelbaum OBM, founder of Oholei Torah.
The Sefer Torah was sponsored by the Teitelbauam family, and the grand celebration and siyum was coordinated with the help of all participating schools who lent busses for the occasion.
The Torah was finished in Oholei Torah Mesivta on Troy Avenue, and a procession of Oholei Torah students to 770 was joined by Lubavitcher Yeshiva students and Darchei Menachem students.
The procession stopped in front of 770 for Hakafos, and then continued on to Oholei Torah Beis Medrash where R’ Michoel’s Minyan – a youth Minyan for Crown Heights children – is held each Shabbos.
it is the best thing to see the שכונה all so happy!!!!!

Thanks to the organizers for brightening our day. We just happened to be on kingtson avenue and were lucky to see the most beautiful event, everyone dancing and singing with such achdus.
We are so grateful.
