Young Shluchos Find Fun and Friendship With ‘Best Buddies’

Best Buddies, a program of the Shluchim Office which pairs Nigri Shluchim Online School students with Bais Rivkah High School students, has been keeping the girls busy with programs, activities and events.

Seeing the need for connection and friendship for many girls who live on Shlichus around the world, Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim of the Shluchim Office launched Best Buddies, an initiative which pairs Nigri Shluchim Online School students with Bais Rivkah High School students.

The girls arrange weekly video calls or phone calls to either learn together, do an activity, or just chat. So many real connections have been forged, with the girls keeping in touch with each other all the time and even arranging meeting up in Crown Heights.

“Best Buddies has been so fun, I’m so happy I get to be a part of it,” wrote young Shlucha Chaya Wolff. “My buddy and I have so much fun together every week, we even got to meet each other in person, it’s totally a highlight for both of us.”

The high school students have enjoyed their own get togethers periodically where they get to be treated to their very own night of fun.

“It’s so meaningful to see the impact the program has had on both the high school and Shluchim Online School students,” shared Rochel Goldman, CYH director. “Not only do these girls each really enjoy their time together, but they have really formed true bonds and real friendships.”
