The Young Jewish Taiwan (YJT) lounge, launched 5 months ago for young Jewish professionals in Taiwan, and has led to an exciting Tefillin initiative.
Led by Levi Srugo under the auspices of Shliach Rabbi Shlomi Tabib, the YJT hosts multiple events monthly, including Shabbat meals for locals and Israeli expats. The lounge offers a welcoming space for networking, socializing, and connecting with Jewish culture and traditions.
“Two weeks ago, we completed a project distributing 5 new pairs of tefillin to individuals who committed to daily use,” Levi Srugo says.
This project was generously funded by a local Chabad House donor and Rabbi Levi Dubov from Chabad of O’town in Orlando, Florida.
“Our collaborative efforts made it a reality,” Srugo said.
YJT has also recently announced the launch of the CTeen program in Taiwan.
CTeen Taiwan kicked off with a fun bowling party, and teens from all over Taiwan joined for an amazing time.
“We shared inspiring messages about standing strong and embracing Jewish pride. We look forward to continuing this program every 2 weeks, providing a regular platform for local Jewish teens to connect, learn, and grow together,” Srugo said.
