Friday, the 28th of Cheshvan, marked the 1st yahrtzeit of Yossi Kreiman obm, who passed away in a tragic accident one year ago, at the age of 23.
On Sunday, November 27, Nshei Chabad of Los Angeles held a Rosh Chodesh Kislev event to honor his memory. The event also marked the opening of the Adult Jewish Lending Library established in his name, housed in the Chabad Israel Center.
Yossi’s love of learning and seforim was widely recognized among his peers, and he spent a lot of time researching the history of seforim and their authors. Therefore, establishing a greatly needed community lending library in his name, for both men and women, was an opportunity to give tribute to this special young man.
First on the program was Mrs. Shternie Lipsker, shlucha from Sherman Oaks, California, who spoke about Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
The Lamplighter video was shown honoring the kedoshim from Mumbai, Rabbi Gavriel Noach and Rivkah Holtzberg.
A video and song created by a group of bochurim in Yeshiva Ohr Elchanan Chabad in honor of Yossi Kreiman was also shown.
The highlight of the evening was the next speaker. Almost 200 women sat riveted as Mrs. Devorie Kreiman shared her thoughts and reflected on Yossi’s life and legacy.
The new library contains almost 900 books which have been donated by men and women in the community. The library’s mission is to provide and promote open and equal access to the resources that will facilitate learning of Torah and Chassidus.
The library is directed by Mrs. Fayge Yemini of the Chabad Israel Center, and Head Librarians Batya Leah Cohen and Rochel Leah Admon.
Used or new Jewish book donations or monetary donations are gratefully accepted. To donate books or funds contact the library at ajllbrary@gmail.com.

Does anyone have a link to make a donation to the library?
Kol Hakavod to all those who donated money, and books!
Amazing tribute to a very special young man…… Yossi, we will never forget you……..
Wow!! How punctual!!
There couldn’t of been a better thing to do for him!!
I remember how he told me so many times of the amount of books he owns, and his love for his Seforim…
He would tell me that eventually he wants to open a library where he wouldn’t mind lending out his books for other people to benefit from… And he’d tell me how he’d run the library…..
May all our efforts unite and bring about the ultimate Aliyah of his Tayere Neshoma, with the coming of Moshiach now!!!
may his neshama have an aliyah and bring Moshiach!!
Beautiful, you will never be forgotton Yossi
may this wonderful idea of a library be a great source of mitzva to the one named. this is a great choice. Is there a way for others to donate, and if so, then how
