In an impressive event, a new building was dedicated for the Yeshivah “Tzeirei Hashluchim” in Tzfas. It was named “Beis Shlomo” in honor of the generous donor and Ba’al Chesed R’ Shlomo Ben R’ Binyamin.
The new building includes a beautiful and spacious Beis Medrash, classroom, a spacious Mikvah, three levels of reinforced security rooms, lounges and more. Parallel to the development of the new building, extensive renovations were also conducted throughout the campus.
R’ Sholomo’s two sons who attended the event unveiled the dedication plaque on the building, together with the directors of the institution – the Shliach and Chairman of the Mosdos R’ Chaim Kaplan, as well as the Rosh Yeshivah, who also initiated the new building, R’ Shneur Zalman Kaplan.
The ribbon at the entrance to the building was cut by the Mayor of Tzfas Mr. Shuki Ochana together with his family, and the Mezuzah was affixed by the Rav of the Chabad community and director of the Kashrus division R’ Mordechai Bistritzky. After the unveiling of the plaque in the beautiful new lobby the guests entered the Zal together with the Talmidim of the Yeshivah for Maariv on R’ Shlomo’s Yahrtzeit in the new Zal.
Following Ma’ariv, a Siyum was conducted on Mishnayos that the Bochurim studied in R’ Sholomo’s memory. Representatives of the students conducted a Siyum on each of the Shisha Sidrei Mishanh: Seder Zeraim – Menachem Mendel Mendelson from Vienna, Austria, Seder Moed – Kehos Litvin from Louisville, Kentucky, Seder Nashim – Eliyahu Moshe Bogomilsky from Seattle, Washington, Seder Nezikin – Aharon Freundlech from Beijing, China and Seder Kodshim – Levi Yitzchak Segal from Sliema, Malta.
The Siyum on Seder Taharah and the entire Shas was conducted y R’ Zalman Kaplan, who leads the Yeshivos “Tzeiri Hashluchim” and achieved for them unprecedented development and accomplishments, in both Gashmiyus and Ruchniyus. The Mara D’asra Rav Bistritzky and a representative of the donor’s family delivered Divrei Torah and Bracha.
Following the Siyum, the guests continued the event with a Seudas Mitzvah and Farbrengen with members of the donor’s family, the Yeshiva’s staff and administrators of the Mosdos, which continued with much joy and excitement late into the night.
In honor of Yud Alef Nissan and the Rebbe’s 120th birthday, an elaborate Chanukas Habayis is being planned.
