Yossi Farro, a Chabad Yeshiva student, was verbally attacked on Friday afternoon in the SoHo neighborhood, which is located in Downtown Manhattan, just because he is a Jew.
A shirtless man approached Farro, and began verbally attacking him and threatening him with violence. The man also shouted antisemitic hate at the young bochur.
A group of bystanders stopped to assist Farro, and remained with him until the attacker had left the area.
Undeterred in his mission to spread light, Farro immediately asked the kind bystanders if they are Jewish.
Two of them were, and Farro assisted them with putting on Tefillin.
“We made a blessing in the same spot where curses have been uttered,” he said.

The abusive guy pictured looks like a decidedly poor excuse for humanity. So sad that some people choose to spend the gift of life looking and acting like this character does. When it’s almost over some of those who haven’t smoked their brains away will likely ask ” Hey, that’s it? It can’t be; I haven’t yet done anything worth mentioning…” Contrast that with this bochur and all you can say is Ashreinu, mah tov chelkeinu~”
Way to go Hashliach Yossi Faro!
Looks like the loser accomplished the opposite of what he intended.
