A yeshiva student was robbed of a large sum of cash Thursday night in Crown Heights leading to a chase and arrest of one of the perpetrators.
The incident occurred near Carroll Street and Troy Avenue at approximately 11:15 PM.
A group of 3 black males approached the victim and displayed a gun, and demanded his property, the victim said. The muggers forcibly removed an envelope containing cash from the victim and fled on Troy Avenue.
Police and Shmira were called, who searched the area for the perpetrators.
Shmira volunteers soon located one of the perpetrators on East New York Avenue between Albany Troy Avenues and contacted the NYPD. He was placed under arrest.
This incident comes 2 weeks after an unprovoked attack on a Yeshiva student on January 21 in Crown Heights. A Yeshiva student was walking with a friend near 1505 Carroll Street and Troy Avenue when he was punched in the face by an attacker.
24-year-old Babyson Dumervil has been arrested and charged with assault in that incident.

Due to the very obvious dangerous increase and uptick of in Crime affecting Crown Heights, those that can get involved to help out should. All our Young Chevra, Older Mature Working Bocherim & Yungerleit in Crown Heights should be highly encouraged to step up to the plate, to get involved a little & to be active to an extent in helping their community. Most if not all violent crimes against Jews in this community have been perpetrated by African Americans. It’s not racist to point that out. Let’s not forget who the victims are here.

Assault is a “soft” charge, while Robbery is taken much more seriously.
With a charge of Assault – he was probably let back out on the streets.

I was thinking that it’s all about punishment/reward. If Jews were willing to sit a night in prison then all the crime in ch would stop overnight…
All these comments we need moshiach and other things. Crown Heights is not the best neighborhood. When you go out late at night you put yourself at more risk even in the best neighborhood so don’t think these things happen only on crown heights.
We have an apologist in City hall who is soft on crime. Time to reassess our blind following of DemoRats.

Was shmira nearby or was called after cause it’s scary when a bocher is walking alone with no help and if a weapon was pulled oy veh that’s not good
