The global post Kinus Farbrengen which began on Sunday and has turned into the longest ever Zoom call, has elicited a comment from the official ZOOM company Twitter account.
Rabbi Yossi Lazaroff, Shliach at Texas A&M University, @AggieRabbi, tweeted, “Over 1,000 Chabad Rabbis for over 100 hours continuing their International conference on the longest @zoom_us from six continents.”
The official Zoom Twitter account commented, “Wow – that’s impressive!” along with a clapping hands sign.
Impressive, indeed, as the ZOOM call with Chabad Rabbis logging in from around the world has been going continuously for over 4 days, with the room of 1,000 participants full to capacity for most of the day, and with a long waiting list of Rabbis attempting to sign on.
Rabbis on the call hail from every part of the world, and every time zone, so there is a steady stream of talking and farbrenging, 24 hours a day.
Participants are sharing Chasidic stories, memories and thoughts with their fellow Shluchim, and for many providing a much-needed dose of camaraderie and inspiration since the annual International Kinus did not take place in person this year due to the pandemic.
With the call still going strong on Wednesday evening, it remains to be seen how long this global Farbrengen will continue.
Wow – that's impressive! 👏

how can I join it?
People will be logging off over shabbosim etc, then others from different time zones could jump on … this is so great, the possibilities are endless!
Rabbi Krinsky farbrenged last night for close to two hours, (with a break in-between for Yudi Dukes! May he have a refuah shleima).
Perhaps COL could upload the video. His talk was very warm and inspiring
Thank you.
