Vacation Crown Heights women’s summer learning program is in full swing with in-depth learning classes, stimulating lectures and exciting workshops, are drawing women and girls from all parts of the community to participate.
“VacationCH is such a great opportunity to refresh and recharge spiritually,” says one participant, “I encourage everyone to take advantage of the program.”
At the Shalom Bayis Series for couples Part 1, Rabbi Daniel Schonboch MA , demonstrated the “soft start-up” approach, and how to accept your spouse’s influence. Couples that participated are looking forward to the next session “Are you and your Spouse Speaking the Same Language,” taking place this Sunday, July 24th, with Moti Zigelbaum, MA.
The Da Ma Lehashiv Series with Mrs. Leah Abraham always involves intense discussion. “She is so good! She really gave me a lot of insight.” Those looking to get to the heart of he matter are surely looking forward to her class, next week about “Balancing Self Esteem and Bittul.”
Journey through Tefilla with Mrs. Sarah Lieberman is an inspiring and revealing experience. “She brings out some much meaning to our everyday tefilllos, I can’t wait to here what the next lesson will unfold.”
The Home Making and Health and Beauty Series are another exciting part of the VacationCH program. Women enjoyed learning how to create beautiful fruit platters with Mrs. Bracha Friedman, and the makeup tips and demonstration with Mrs. Henya Holzberg was very fun!
“If Tefilla is supposed to be about connecting to Hashem, why is it so self-centered? It all seems to be about asking for personal needs?! Where is the love? Women have been exploring this topic and more conflicting ideas in the Chasidic Thought Series with Rabbi Avi Shlomo. ” Rabbi Shlomo is so full of energy and he delivers a whole new angle to familiar concepts while explaining the chassidic perspective. I wouldn’t miss a class!”
The Marriage and Shidduchim Series for both married women and single girls attracted quite a group at the first session this week. Mrs. Chana Epstein spoke to the married women about, “What does my marriage need,” and Mrs. Chaya Teldon addressed single girls with tips and advice for dating. “Mrs. Teldon’s insight really gave me the proper perspective for this important time in my life.”
