An Arab woman carrying a knife was arrested by Israeli border police near the Damascus gate in Jerusalem.
According to the Jerusalem police spokeswoman, the woman, who is in her 50’s, was arrested after waving the knife at the security personnel.
Following the arrest, she was brought in for questioning, with no injuries reported in the incident.
The security presence has been stepped up in the Old City area.
