Thank you for the comments. I am not denying that birthdays are important. But I never heard any other jewish leader (non lubavitcher) celebrating their birthdays. There are so many tzadikim in Eretz Isroel, and not once have I heard them celebrating birthdays. And besides Rebbe is in heaven, not on earth why are we still celebrating? Why aren’t we celebrating Baba sali’s, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef’s and other big tzadikim’s b’days? Yes i am not a lubavitcher, I am orthodox and believe in moshiach. Please someone explain why celebrate birthdays? Rebbe was a tzaddik, no need for birthdays. Why make such big fuss over it. Should Rebbe have explained to his followers. I feel like it’s childish and bringing unessasary attention when he was already a leader.
