A family of 11 has been thrown into a state of crisis after a tremendous loss. Rabbi Tzvi Adler of the northern Israel town of Richasim was diagnosed with cancer just two years ago. Though his condition worsened steadily over time, his wife and children worked hard to remain optimistic for the future. That all ended a month and a half ago, when Rabbi Adler passed away.
His widow is now responsible for supporting her 10 children single-handedly. Having spent all that they had on hospital bills, Mrs. Adler has barely had time to mourn before returning to work. One modest salary, however, is not enough to feed and clothe her large family. The children are, needless to say, in a state of shock.
Daughter Racheli describes their current situation in touching video footage. Her young siblings sit on either side of her, looking emotionally drained. “I am begging you,” she says to the camera, “whoever can help, however you can.” Though she is young, she has clearly experienced many hardships. From watching her father suffer, to losing him, to begging strangers for help.
Donations are being accepted for the family HERE for a limited time. The family’s hope is that they will be able to raise enough money to allow them to mourn in peace, and for their mother to be able to spend time with her children during this trying time. Donations will go toward basic bills being paid, and for the Adler children to look toward their futures without fear.
