In 1972, before I was frum, I was a student in Belgium. Part of the program involved a study trip. That year they wanted to spend a week in Munich and Prague. This was in the spring of ’72 just before the infamous Munich Olympics. Nobody was interested in spending time in Munich, so we opted to spend the whole week in Prague. One of my fellow students, and Itwalian girl made it her business to know everybody else’s business, so she knew I was Jewish. In 1972 I was a student doing a post-garaduate program in Belgium. Part of the curriculum was a study trip. We had a choice to spend a few days in Munich and a fe days in Prague. Nobody was interested in going to Munich – this was several months before the infamous Munich olympics, so we spent the week in Prague. I was an American student, one of four in a group of 60, all the rest being Europeans – both West and East, and so we went tot Prague. I just found out on http://www.geni.com that I’m a direct descendant of his and that both he and I are descended from roman emperors…
