Tzivos Hashem is running a worldwide competition for Jewish children to mark 30 years since the youth movement was established by the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
“The Power of Jewish Children” will feature entries from children from around the world, who will compete for prizes totaling $30,000 cash and a trip to New York.
COLive.com is one of the major sponsors of the contest, which will be judged by a panel of judges and by public votes.
Entries may be in one of three categories:
Heart: A Chesed Award for an exceptional act of kindness for another.
Hand: A Performance Award for the best display of talent, such as a personally written story or poem, artwork, a comedy skit or playing a musical instrument.
Head: An Achievement Award for exceptional studies, researching and writing about something important or mastering a difficult concept.

My love for Neginah, expressed in the playing of the violin.
What supplies did you use to create your entry?
A violin, a bow, my mother’s camera, my father’s computer knowhow
What is the theme of your entry?
ChaBaD Niggunim touch the soul.
What makes your entry special?
When I play Niggunim, I get transformed, and transported to Oilomios. When I play, I imagine that I am playing in front of the person who composed that Nigun.
What does the ‘power of Jewish children’ contest mean to you?
I don’t know what to answer. A lot. Because now you are showing that children have the power to change the world.
What about the contest excites you most?
Getting to play in a concert with Avrohom Fried.
What part does Tzivos Hashem play in your life?
Missions!!!! Tehillim, Hachayol, being in the Rebbe?s Army, un azoy vieter.
