Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Friedman, Shliach in Ashdod, Israel, tells COLlive about the moment the residential building where his Chabad house is located was hit by a Grad missile, as reported on COLlive.
On Motzei Shabbos exclusive footage was uncovered that shows the magnitude of the miracle, that no one was injured in the explosion which occured on Shabbos afternoon.
At the time, a few people were in the Chabad House, and miraculously all were unharmed.
“This past Shabbos, most shuls in Ashdod were closed at the instruction of the mayor and the army,” says Rabbi Friedman in a video interview.
“Our Shul, however, was very active this Shabbos, which included people who came to daven by us because they could not find any other open shul.
“The Davening took place as usual, and there was a farbrengen afterwards, to welcome the Shluchim who recently returned from the Kinus Hashluchim in New York.”
Rabbi Friedman continues, “After the davening, only a few people were left in the Shul, and on the way out, we heard the siren. We immediately ran to the safe area, and instead of hearing the usual sounds of a nearby blast, we heard a massive explosion. The whole building shook, glass shattered everywhere. The ceramic tiles from around the room fell to the floor. When we came out, we saw destruction everywhere.”
The security cameras that are installed in the shul recorded the moment of he explosion and the people running.
“It was only later that we realized the magnitude of the miracle that noone was hurt,” says Friedman.

ALL OF YOU …YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF …
THIS IS THE BIGGEST CHILULL LUBAVICH I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! ….. STOP ARGUING …REBOINOI SHEL OILAM… FORGET ABOUT IF IT WAS OPEN OR CLOSED ..THINK ABOUT ERETS HAKOIDESH WERE ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE BEING KILLED BY ROCKETS .
SAY TEHILLIM FOR ALL THE VICTEMS..
well said, at least there is someone out there who’s mature
And the jewish people wonder why moshiach isnt hear yet…maybe not doing the above would help. You would think that adults are MATURE enough to watch a video and not fight over it. Real problems going on here. Hello? pay attention to whats important. Thousands of soldiers are dying and fighting for us and all you do is complain. I think i might be racist against my own religion.
A 14 year old.
APPARENTLY!!
HAVE YOU ? I WAS ACTUALLY BEING REALISTIC
SHOLOM AL YISROEL
go to CHABADLIFE.TV to hear the voices of Lubavitchers in Asdod and Be’er Sheva; hear their important message today.
It was just as dangerous to be at home.
I can’t believe all the arguing that’s going on here. In a time like this when we need HAshem’s protection we need ahavas Yisroel and not arguing which helps no one. Everyone daven!
Ask a Dayan. By the hurricane they said to stay at home..
Ever heard of sarcasm?!
say tehilim
The reason the beit chabad was open is because lubavitchers believe the Rebbe protects them.
In fact, I am sure we’ve all read the stories of burnt buildings, bombed homes, etc., where the only thing that made it unscathed was the Rebbe’s picture.
Thus, if lubavitchers really want to practice what they believe, and want to save Eretz Kodesh a ton of cash, lubavitchers should plaster every building in Eretz Kodesh with pictures of their rebbe, rather than relying on the iron dome, each missile of which costs over $50,000 USD.
I thought Jewish people are not supposedly to openly put
themselves in danger and then rely on miraclesWh
your comment was “sheer stupidity” think b4 u talk, smart guy.
and if everyone in that building was killed Chas Vishalom, would you still be giving your intelligent opinions about what people should have done???
noone cares about your opinions besides yourself and noone cares about you either… so just, keep ur opinions to urself 🙂
thanks
I’m sure there was some good reason as to why they were open. What exactly it was, we haven’t been told. Your baseless arguing does nothing for anyone. Say tehillim instead.
no matter what a beis chabad doesnt close unless the rebbe says to
you and your “chaver” #1 really need to get a life
ein somchin al haness
remember that?
I love your positive attitude! So supportive of fellow lubavitures!
no ones asking you. at a time like this the last thing you do is give your opinion. if you care, say tehillim
Why was the Chabad Centre open? If the army advises everyone to close, you listen. You don’t rely on miracles in a time like this. Sheer stupidity if you ask me.
