Jewish musician Gershon Veroba left Crown Heights Tuesday night after filling the hearts of a few children with special needs and their parents with joy and happiness.
Held in a private home on President Street, Veroba entertained and sang in front of the small group which included the boys of the local HASC community home.
Known for his parodies – mainstream popular songs with lyrics redone to incorporate Jewish themes – Veroba kept the crowd singing and even dancing for a few hours, while trading off with local singer Yossi Fraenkel.
“Music is the pen of the soul and Mr. Veroba gave a great proformance,” Devorah Scheiner, the organizer, told COLlive. “He really went extra and gave of himself, interacting with boys with down syndrome as well.”
