Although it is still the midst of summer, in Crown Heights preparations are underway to welcome the many thousands of guests who will visit during the Tishrei months.
The Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim organization, which organizes programming for Chabad Yeshiva students wishing to spend “Tishrei by the Rebbe,” organizes learning and programs to strengthen their spiritual state in a month filled with holidays and round the clock inspiration.
Working hand-in-hand with the staff of the Yeshivas, they provide meals, accommodations, and a detailed schedule that has the bochurim fully utilize their stay.
Learning sessions are held at Lubavitch Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights and at Ohel Chabad Lubavitch in Queens, near the Rebbe’s resting place.
The Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim, directed by Rabbi Tzvi Altein, are currently looking for any space, house, apartment or the like that can be used to host Bochurim during the month of Tishrei.
If you know of something available, please reach out to tzvi@vaadhatmimim.org.
Where can I get some of those foam mattresses for my own home for guests.
can we please arrange a class for the israelis when they come?
Mivtza don’t block the street
I hope that something can be done about a safe place to deposit suitcases upon arrival. I previous years there were dozens of them dumped at the entrance stairs and hall, blocking the exits and posing grave danger חס ושלום in case of fire.
yes let the preparation begins as soon as possible 🙂 🙂 I am so looking forward to see the guess around the world will be coming for Tishrei in Crown Heights
to this dedicated team of unsung heroes
As a bochur, my feeling towards to the Rebbe, my hiskashrus and appreciation for the Rebbes torah was formed mainly through all of the programs, panels and mivtzas of the Vaad.
Keep up the good work!
