The Pre-1A Talmidim of Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Crown Street celebrated their Siddur Party on Sunday, with a most beautiful program.
The event began with a Sicha of the Rebbe speaking to the children on Lag Ba’omer (40 years ago) about how learning Torah is a child’s only profession, and how the parents can take a lesson from their children in how to approach Torah with enthusiasm and complete investment.
Menahel Rabbi Yosef Simpson then shared some inspirational words, which was followed by a beautiful and precious choir presentation from the Pre 1A Talmidim.
The 4 very dedicated and most phenomenal Pre 1A Rebbis – Rabbi Schwartz, Rabbi Kohn, Rabbi Hurwitz and Rabbi Goldstein – were thanked throughout the program for bringing the Talmidim to where they are now and helping each Talmid reach their full potential.
Throughout the program we journeyed through the world of Davening and of the precious Siddur. First they heard a Mashal from the Pre 1A Talmidim of a king and prince, which told of the importance of Davening to Hashem, and how Hashem really wants us to speak to Him!
But some questions still remained, why is it not enough to just Daven in any way we want, and even if there is a specific order or specific words we need to Daven, why can’t we just say it by heart? What is it that makes the Siddur so important and special?
These questions were answered with the video titled “My Precious Siddur”!
The boys were then surprised with a special celebrity guest – Shuey from Mitzvah Boulevard! Shuey shared a story demonstrating how important and special a Siddur is!
The highlight of the event was the delighted Talmidim finally receiving their precious Siddur with their name in golden letters.
