Hachayol has a new face this year, and Merkos and Tzivos Hashem are working hard to make Yomei Dipagra—the special days on the Chassidic calendar—even more special.
It’s an all-new magazine called Shine. Colorfully illustrated and beautifully designed in a reader-friendly format, Shine will make Chassidishe yomim tovim fun and relatable to kids, starting with Chai Elul and continuing eighteen more times during the year.
“The essential theme of each magazine relates to the particular Rebbe whose day we are celebrating,” elaborates Pessi Stolik, Hachayol’s new editor. “With the potent teamwork of Rabbi Levi Raskin, who researches the topic thoroughly, renowned writer Yaffa Gottlieb and expert designer Chana Cohen, along with all the other amazingly talented people on the Hachayol editorial team, Shine is sure to hit its mark.”
And to make it truly shine? Tzivos Hashem has made a slideshow available to teachers so they can use the material from Shine interactively in their classroom.
“The Rebbe must be so proud,” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, “to see this kind of quality chinuch being provided for our children.”
