Yeshivas Kayitz Tzeirei Hashluchim Camp of Tzfas, Israel will be relocating to a location in the United States for the summer of 5780 due to travel restrictions after the coronavirus pandemic.
Now entering its twentieth summer, the exciting summer program for bochurim entering grades 9 through 11 will take place on beautiful campgrounds in the white mountains of Arizona, camp director Eli Rosenfeld told COLlive.
The grounds are located in Heber, AZ where the high temperature by day is typically in the low 80s and in the 50s at night.
The grounds have beautiful, dorm-style rooms and plenty of state of the art sports fields including a full size indoor basketball court and baseball field, Rosenfeld said.
Arizona is known for its natural beauty and popular tourist attractions, including places like the Grand Canyon and Red Rock.
The grounds will be exclusively for Tzeirei Hashluchim, and social distancing precautions will be taken off-grounds when necessary.
The camp is formulating a plan with medical professionals to ensure everyone’s safety, they said, and more details will be forthcoming.
The camp is under the leadership of Rabbi Chaim Kaplan of Chabad-Lubavitch of Tzfas, and directed by Eli Rosenfeld. It will be run by Boruch Ceitlin of Montreal, Canada and Zalmy Denburg of Coral Springs, Florida.
