At the Farbrengen of the Shabbos preceding Lag B’omer of 5740, exactly forty years ago, the Rebbe requested that an album be published to include photographs of all the children that attended the Lag B’omer Parades. Thus, the children will be able to look at, and eventually show their grandchildren and great-grandchildren these photos of themselves by the parade and where they were standing during the parade.
While such albums were indeed published following some of the parades, thousands of new photos have been acquired by the RebbeDrive team, thereby documenting hundreds of new faces at the parades.
In total, RebbeDrive meticulously restored over 3,500 new photos documenting these Parades, in addition to 20 new videos.
In line with the Rebbe’s request, RebbeDrive presents two new galleries documenting the parades. One specifically focusing on the historic parade of 5750.

It is our fervent prayer that this year Lag B’omer we won’t have to suffice with photos & videos of previous years, for we will merit to celebrate Lag B’omer once again together with the Rebbe!

Read here about this instruction in the Rebbe’s own words (freely translated from the yiddish transcript in Sichos Kodesh):
“ . . the book should also include pictures of the children by the parade, pictures that will be taken during the parade.
“The pictures should be taken in a manner that you can see the children amongst the rest of the crowd by the parade, but also such that you can see every individual child . .
“The main thing is to print in this book pictures of all the children that will be by the parade, pictures that the child will see himself there, and he will then be able to show how he stood in this specific place during the time of Rashbi’s jubilation . .
“Then, when the child will grow up, he will be able to show his grandchildren – and since he will merit longevity – also his great grandchildren, his picture in this book, and he will relate to them how when he was a child, he gathered together with other jewish children in honor of Rashbi’s jubilation, and he will explain to them who Rashbi was…”
