Rabbi Yossie Denburg, shliach to Coral Springs, Florida was the guest speaker at at the Lubavitch of the Twin Cities Yud Tes Kislev Fabrengen.
More than 100 adults were in attendance in addition to close to 75 children who had their own special farbrengen at the same time. Rabbis Mordechai Friedman, Yisroel Goldberg and Yona Goldberg organized the event.
Shliach Rabbi Mendel Feller shared some of the significance and history of Yud Tes Kislev and Rabbi Asher Zeilingold, Rov of the Adath Israel Synagogue where the farbrengen was held, shared a message of the Rebbe.
A choir of students of the Lubavitch Cheder Day School led the singing of Pada Beshalom, and a festive meal was served. Scenes from the JEM video Beyond the Veil were screened.
In his address, Rabbi Denburg mesmerized the crowd with his experiences growing up as a tomim, and on shlichus.
After the dinner, anash remained until 3:30 am as Rabbi Denburg shared many inspiring stories of his youth and upbringing including farbrengens with the Rebbe, eltereh Chassidim and Mashpiim.
He encouraged the assembled to grow in chassidishkeit in the spirit of Yud Tes Kislev. Many chassidim shared there hachlatos (resolutions) for the coming year.
I was downstairs as a 7th grade girl and believe me, it was not so easy but it was loads of fun! Anyways, I went up for the farbrengen and it was a gorgeous event! Thank you soooo much!
