This past summer 14 Traveling Rabbis embarked on a journey that they will never forget. The traveling rabbis camp was an extraordinary adventure that Road Tripped across the breathtaking landscapes of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.
From the moment the Bochurim Landed in Arizona, excitement was in the air. The itinerary was packed with thrilling activities, including multi-day hikes, bicking, horseback riding, white water rafting and meaningful Farbrengens. Each day brought new challenges and opportunities, fostering teamwork and leadership in a supportive environment.
Beyond the physical adventure, the Traveling Rabbis program was a journey of high level growth. The Bochurim disconnected from technology and connected deeply with each other and their surroundings. Through the powerful down to earth Farbrengens, they explored the beauty of Hashem’s world and strengthened their connection to Yiddishkeit and the Rebbe.
The program focused on spreading the Rebbe’s Mivtzoyim, inspiring 38 Yidden to put on Tefillin and helping 7 Yidden celebrate their own Bar Mitzvahs. Shabbosim were spent at beautiful Chabad Houses across the region.
The Bochurim had the great opportunity to Farbreng and learn from some of the greatest Shluchim from Rabbi Dovid Schapiro in Flagstaff Arizona, to Rabbi Dovid Mintz and Rabbi Avi Shaulson in Vail, Colorado, to the Founders of the THANK YOU HASHEM movement and Rabbi Mintz in Aspen, Colorado, to Rabbi Lazar in Taos, New Mexico. These Shabbosim were not just a time of rest, but a time of deep connection and spiritual rejuvenation.
The Camp was directed by Sholom Friedfertig, along with a dedicated High Level team that made it all possible—from Head Counselor Yitzy Strasberg and Camp Rabbi, Rabbi Chaim Kozliner, to Head Chef and Sports Director Shuee Broner—the Traveling Rabbis camp was flawlessly organized, with a strong emphasis on the safety and well-being of every participant.
As the summer came to a close with a Grand Banquet in Aspen, Colorado, the Bochurim reflected on the journey they had just completed. The bonds formed, the lessons learned, and the spiritual growth achieved made this summer one that will be remembered for a lifetime.
We Look forward to sharing this amazing Experience with you this coming Summer,
