The grand Lag BaOmer event will take place in Crown Heights, with the Siyum HaRambam and community unity bonfire both in front of 770 Eastern Parkway.
The double celebration will take place on tonight, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 7:30 PM and will feature superstar singer Avraham Fried.
“By Hashgocha protis, the Siyum Harambam will take place on Lag BaOmer this year,” said Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Director of the Central Lubavitch Youth Organization and Chairman of the International Siyum HaRambam. “It gives us the opportunity to unite as a community for the Siyum HaRambam celebration, which was very dear to the Rebbe.”
The Siyum will be followed by the annual community bonfire, which will be moved from its usual location on Kingston Avenue to the main thoroughfare Eastern Parkway, which will be shut down for the festive and exciting event.
The annual community bonfire is a much-beloved event, uniting men, women and children as we celebrate the yartzeit of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.
Otzar Hamelech, the long awaited, monumental work by Rabbi Yossi Lipskier, collecting thousands of the Rebbe’s explanations on Rambam, will be given out at the main Siyum Harambam in front of 770.
