Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Crown Heights resident Rachel Goodman knows up close the struggles of motherhood as a mom of three little girls.
“The guilt, the stress, the worry, and how it can feel like being a mom is a lonely journey when we are too ashamed to voice our struggles,” Goodman says. “Especially during this global pandemic when motherhood can feel harder than ever and we feel at a loss as to what is the ‘right way’ to deal with it all, both for ourselves and our children.”
Without the tools and support we need to cope with the daily challenges of motherhood, it can leave one feeling drained and take a toll on one’s health, Goodman explains, “which doesn’t serve us or our families and sucks the joy out of being a mom.”
