This Sunday: In the Glow

Lamplighters Yeshivah of Crown Heights is hosting the third annual “In The Glow,” a vendor fair and concert, with over 40 local vendors and 7 show-stopping performers to showcase the talent and diversity of Jewish women in the community.

Last year, the event hosted over 350 women who enjoyed shopping, socializing and entertainment into the night. Due to its success, this year is expected to be even bigger and better- with a new twist. The vendor fair, with shopping, gourmet snacks, a photo booth, face-painting and caricature artists, will be in one large, festive space. The star-studded concert will take place in a separate, more intimate setting, with stage design by Mimulo Event Planning.

Many popular as well as undiscovered vendors will exhibit their art, sell discounted designer and vintage clothes, and educate about their healing and professional services. Business owners and creatives will be selling unique gifts, including hand-made jewelry, organic deserts, designer maternity clothes, quality skin-care, art prints and fashion.

While you sample ‘In The Glow’ merchant gourmet snacks, plan to sit back and enjoy the best of Brooklyn’s local Jewish talent. Our dynamic line-up includes break-out star Talia Lakritz from Milwaukee, soulful singer-songwriter Rivka Eilfort, seasoned performer Esther Freeman playing all-new music and accompanied by Rivka Nahari’s dance troupe, an original performance by Naomi Levin’s Jewish Creative Arts Drama Troupe, song’s from international star Shaindel Antelis’s new album, and a rare acoustic show of original songs by the exceptionally talented and dynamic Bulletproof Stockings.

This year, the event will be MC’ed by Elana Greenspan (www.elanagreenspan.com), comedienne, singer, songwriter, and sought-after MC. This is Elana’s debut event as an MC in Crown Heights!

The night will be highlighted by an exciting raffle launch, with 7 prize packages, covering valuable gifts and services in fashion, food, beauty, health, baby, and event planning.

Attendees can also enjoy an on-site masseuse, mini-makeovers, mini- yoga classes, a photo booth, face-painting and caricature artists, organic treats and delicious gourmet snacks.

The event benefits Lamplighters Yeshivah, the first and only Chassidic Montessori school in Crown Heights, which was started four years ago by a small group of parents and has since grown into an established school with over 70 students, Jewish-Montessori trained teaching staff and two highly regarded, experienced school heads.
