A brazen thief who allegedly stole an expensive item and caused much damage to a storefront in Crown Heights was arrested on Wednesday evening by the NYPD.
The vandal was seen on the surveillance camera of Sauce N Cheese, a popular pizza shop on Albany Avenue near Lefferts Avenue, at 4:13 am on July 11 approaching the storefront with an object.
The person is then seen using the object to smash the window, after which they enter the store. A few seconds later, the thief is seen walking away with a bike worth $3,000.
The person in the video was identified, and was tracked down by police at the building where he lives in Brooklyn.
Detectives arrested Jammel Whitefield of Brooklyn at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, as he exited the building.
He was charged in the burglary and various other crimes.
you deserve all this keep voting for the dems .
To those who had what to say (in the original story here) about “they” and “them” and assumptions about criminals, any comments now?
Jammel probably just made some mistakes and really didn’t mean any harm, RIGHT? He just never learned that it’s not acceptable to peacefully break a window to redistribute another’s property, RIGHT?
It’s a violation of the Seven Noahide Laws…he doesn’t need to be a Bible scholar to know that stealing others’ property is WRONG.
they forgot to say released with no bail within a few hours
He will be out faster then you can say ERIC ADAMS
What is the address to the building that this Jammel Whitefield thief lives in?
CH Residents deserve to know.
Why that bike is worth 3k?
If, say he doesnt have money, how it will compensate the owner on all loss caused by this??
Also how the police recognize the guy?
This is where the modern Justice System fails.
There is no mechanism for restitution. There is no mechanism for even attempting rehabilitation.
Meanwhile, toss them in jail doesn’t help any. Let them out of jail doesn’t help any.
Thieves keep thieving because there is no punishment and no justice for the victim.
Nice work nypd !!
