There are times when the IDF Lone Soldier’s duty consists of hours in the hot desert sun guarding a remote area of Israel’s border with a hostile neighboring country. The loneliness, heat and long hours can be extremely isolating.
There are other times when a soldier must engage in active combat which also takes a toll on them, physically, mentally and emotionally.
It is so important for the soldiers to be able to recharge their batteries and refocus on their mission and on their ultimate purpose – to guard and protect the Jewish people in their homeland.

Both on and off base, Chayal el Chayal provides incredibly valuable physical support in the form of hot meals, a fully stocked fridge and help securing household items. They also provide emotional/mental support in the form of counseling, guidance, and moral support whenever a soldier finds themself in need. Their spiritual support consists of Shabbat and Holiday meals and services and assistance in securing anything they might need to properly observe the mitzvos, both on and off base.
