It happened suddenly, with no warning. Jacob, who lived with his family in Greece as part of an Israeli high-tech company mission, was returning to Israel to attend his mother’s funeral.
While in the airport, Jacob was suddenly accosted by Greek police who grabbed his arms and stole him away without saying a word. With no explanation, Jacob was thrown into the cellars of a notorious Greek detention center, surrounded by dangerous prisoners – criminals, murderers, and ISIS operatives.

Poor Jacob had no idea what was happening or why. A fine man from an upright and respected family in Israel, Jacob never harmed or mistreated anyone. Everyone who knows him agrees that he is an honest person, a loyal friend and an exemplary father. Jacob begged to call a lawyer, but was met with ridicule and contempt from the police.
Day after day, Jacob’s poor wife went to the detention center to try to see her husband, but cruel and heartless guards prevented their meeting, threatening to arrest her for harassment if she persisted in her efforts. No one knew the reason for Jacob’s mysterious arrest. Jacob’s wife was left to sit helplessly in front of the jail, crying bitter tears and pleading for salvation.
Finally, after activists were reached and became involved, the truth came out. The company Jacob loyally served for five years, the company he believed to be a successful high-tech business, was a fraud! This deceitful company took advantage of Jacob’s innocence and used his services and the call center he built for them to cheat and betray by selling products without Jacob’s knowledge and without Jacob’s innocent team knowing anything about their deceitful doings. A deceptive client double-crossed the company and led to the arrest of all involved. An international warrant was issued for Jacob’s arrest, though he had no part in the dishonest schemes.
Thus through no fault of his own, an innocent Jacob was arrested, thrust into a jail with deplorable conditions in a third world country, and denied a lawyer.

Relatives came together to help Jacob’s wife and children at this difficult time. They took out loans and hired the best international lawyers to fight for Jacob and prove his innocence.
After much effort, they were allowed to pay a huge sum of money for bail and have Jacob transferred out of the detention center in Greece into a German prison. Still behind bars, Jacob was at least saved from the dismal conditions of the Greek detention center.
In addition to the anguish and misery of being locked up behind bars for no reason, in jail Jacob is prevented from receiving the medical treatment he needs for an ongoing health problem from which he suffers.
Every day he spends in prison is critical, dangerous to Jacob’s health and shattered emotional state.
The expenses keep adding up. Jacob’s wife has to stay in Germany to attend court. She and the children need support. Guarantees have to be financed and legal fees have already reached more than $250,000. Jacob’s family has taken loans from ever possible place and are on the verge of complete collapse.
For over a month, there has been no progress in Jacob’s release because the money is gone and there is no way to pay for these critical expenses.
To continue the fight to prove Jacob’s innocence and release him from prison, Jacob must pay his lawyers an additional $ 100,000 as well as an estimated $ 250,000 bail for his immediate release.
