The song “Rina” was composed by known Jewish singer Baruch Levine on Tisha B’av, the day of fasting and mourning the current exile. It was originally recorded on the album “Baruch Levine Vol. 3 / Hashkifah.”
“It struck me how towards the end of Kinos, we all stand up and sing together these hopeful words, that just as we left mitzrayim, a nation so high and exalted, one day soon in that very same way we will return to Yerushalayim,” he said.
He released an acapella version now in honor of The Three Weeks.
