Thanksgiving celebrations are a time honored tradition in American life. But beyond lavish feasts and a day off from work, Thanksgiving captures one of the core values of America and the foundation for a great country.

Did the Rebbe encourage (frum) yidden to celebrate Thanksgiving?
I am not Lubavitch and after seeing this video, I am curious about this question.
The Bal Shem Tov thought that from everything one sees and hears one must
learn a ‘lesson in his/her service of Hashem’.
Many a time, the Rebbe learns lessons from non-Jewish/secular events. This
does not make it a ‘Jewish thing’.
I don’t believe that the Rebbe encourages yiden to celebrate this.
