He always said hello to everyone no matter who they were or if they knew him or even bought anything in the store a forever reminder of grace and dignity in every way and his wife was his shining light

What a wonderful tribute. He was a kind giant with a firm handshake that must have humbled many men. He always took the time to listen attentively. Meeting him in Montreal for chagim was always a delight. His legacy lives on.

Reb Michael would stand on Kingston and greet all the passerby’s with his warm hand shake. What a wonderful Chosid! Would eat there every shabbos and every time I came in Dania would greet me like I was a son.

As a Baales tseuvah, I loved shopping in the store cause Mr. Raskin shared stories & I always felt uplifted and inspired by him. That was & is (40 years later) a precious part of my Crown Heights experience.

What a wonderful chasid

I knew him since 1967 when i came to the rebbe as a baalas tshuva. He always made me feel special and an integral part of the community. I remember when the rebbe was sick how he told me insider info and how upset he was. I would only go to his fruit store as i loved his company. I really miss him
