Washington DC shliach Rabbi Menachem Shemtov using the last minutes of the day to help dozens of Jewish interns put on tefillin at today’s “Congressional Baseball Game” at Nationals Park.
The teams are Members of Congress, Democrats vs. Republicans.
The event, which is held every year, is under very tight security since Republican Whip Rep. Steve Scalise was shot at this game a few years ago.
They moved it from a park to National Park protected by US Capitol Police.
They were not shot at the game, they were shot at the practice game for the republicans which was held in Virginia.
