Teenagers from around the U.S. are expected this weekend in West Bloomfield, MI, for Friendship Circle’s third International Volunteer Conference.
The Feb. 6-8 conference is labeled “Making the world a friendship circle,” and will host girl volunteers who are in leadership positions in some 73 branches assisting children with special needs and their families.
Founded in 1994 by Lubavitch Foundation of Michigan, the Friendship Circle has turned into a national volunteer network operated by Chabad Shluchim and and 9,850 volunteers.
Organizers of the conference promise “tons of FUNominal and informative tips, tricks, ideas, and insights to help you out in your special work (you’ll hear it from Professionals, FC staff, Parents, Kids, and the biggest masters of all…yourselves!)”
The conference will be held at the Meer Family Friendship Center of West Bloomfield, directed by Rabbi Levi and Bassie Shemtov.
