Outside; snow piled high, yet inside over 35 college students gathered, joining Yeshiva Bochurim to spend one week in a complete immersion program in Morristown, New Jersey.
Yeshiva Tiferes Bachurim has just concluded their annual Winter event, with students taking part in unique workshops including the Torah Factory with Rabbi Yisroel Rosenblum, the Shatnez Laboratory with Rabbi Avraham Bechor, Of Chassidim and Chassidism with Rabbi Aron Ganz , the Intricacies of Kashrus with Rabbi Chaim Schapiro, Chassidishe Farbrangen with Rabbi Ephraim Piekarski and an open Q&A session with the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Zalman Dubinsky. This year’s focus however was on integrating visitors into the typical Yeshiva learning schedule, catering to five simultaneous levels.
“There can be no substitute for a true Beis Medrash experience,” says Rabbi Moshe Herson, Dean of Rabbinical College of America. “Everyone who joins senses immediately that it is something remarkable.”
The results? As Andrew Kwalwaser, a law student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign put it, “Having never learned full-time before, I was excited for the opportunity and was struck by how much there was to learn from every person I met!”
