Taking Over Chanale’s Heart

When Chana’le Fellig-Harrel was a young girl, her biggest fan was her mother. “Her support and encouragement kept me going through some very frustrating nights of recording,” the Jewish female singer recalls.

Today, married and a mother of two, Chanale is still spending hours composing and recording, but as she says in a new song “I’m a full-time mom and it’s full-time awesome.”

Her new single, “Taking Over My Heart,” was written about her two daughters and is dedicated to “all of you that are in my shoes or were once there, or will be soon…”

The track will be the title song of her soon-to-be-released 5th album, “Taking Over My Heart,” due this summer of 2011 and containing 11 English songs.

“The music is pure pop but the lyrics are total heart,” Chanale says. “The song is a novelty in its concept, practically a contemporary lullaby, and bound to become an anthem proudly sung by moms everywhere.”

A resident of Crown Heights, Chanale says the single is perfect to give dedicated mothers and housewives a break from the Pesach rush.

“I know we are all in a cleaning frenzy, the kids are drivin’ us bananas and the song “Kulam Ahuvim” is playing for the thousandth time. Well don’t run for the hills yet, I have a little something to tide you over for now – my new single.”
