Rabbi Yosef Eichenblatt, director of Abraham’s Tent in Jerusalem, was shocked by what he saw on Thursday when he walked out of his home.
A swastika had been drawn on the Chabad Center’s sign, located on one of Jerusalem’s main intersections, across the street from the Knesset. The road is frequented daily by the Prime Minister, diplomats and heads of state visiting Israel.
Abraham’s Tent is an open and welcoming home, which helps young tourists in Jerusalem maximize their Israel experience. The sign which was defaced provides exposure for the center and its activities.
“I have no idea who could do this, or why someone would do something like this in the capital of Israel, the heart of the Jewish people, the center of Jerusalem,” Eichenblatt told COLlive.
Eichenblatt contacted the local Police, who inspected the graffiti and are now sending a forensic agent to inspect further.
