A rare snowstorm in Israel – the first in years – has shut down public transportation and schools in Jerusalem, Tzfas and other cities on Friday.
Most of it melted within a few hours, but more snow is expected to fall over the weekend. Temperatures are freezing with strong winds.
And while all are enjoying the rare sight, the Tzeirei HaShluchim Yeshiva in Tzfas has opened registration for its summer program and this coming school year.
Following another successful year of learning and growth, the summer program will be led by a group of 770 bochurim in a 4-1 staff-camper ratio, and the 6 week program is a not-to-be-missed opportunity.
Based out of the Yeshiva’s Yisroel Aryeh Leib – Colel Chabad campus in Tzfat, which was covered in snow on Friday, the program is packed with Chassidishe fun, learning, and growth under the administration of Rabbi Menachem Traxler.
“It was a great program all around, the trips, the learning, great guys and the staff were awesome,” says Mendy R., who like all the bochurim, is a son of a family on Shlichus.
“From reliving stories of Tanach and the Gemara in Chevron, sunrise at Masada, floating on Yam HaMelach and obviously a Shabbos in Yerushalayim. I really liked the summer program so much, that I stayed for the year of learning also.”
Special scholarships are available for the summer program for Talmidim who want to stay and join Yeshivas Tzeirei Hashluchim for the upcoming academic year.
“The combination of a Chassidishe, Shlichus atmosphere, intense learning program, great trips and sports, and touring Eretz Yisrael is what makes the program such an important and exciting part of a young Shliach’s life,” said the director Rabbi Chaim Kaplan.
