Parents, supporters, and friends arrived from the local Pittsburgh area and from distant cities such as Ottawa, Edmonton, Crown Heights, Hollywood, Columbus, Teaneck, Stamford, Albany, and Philadephia to attend the Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh elementary and Mesivta graduation.
Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld, Dean of Yeshiva Schools and Head Shliach of Chabad of Western Pennsylvania, welcomed everyone and spoke of the generations of families that have worked to get us to this point. B”H, this year’s total school enrollment reached over 400 students.
Mr. Shlomo Jacobs, president of Yeshiva Schools, thanked everyone for coming and all who have been involved. He announced special gratitude to all the parents who are partners with the school who gave a combined total of 3,000 hours throughout the year to enhance the educational programming through the eDollars system.
Rabbi Yosef Rosenblum, principal of Yeshiva Schools, remarked how in recent years, these Mesivta classes are even more involved in Mivtzoim, immersed in regular Farbrengens, and following Darchei HaChassidus.
Mrs. Mindy Small, General Studies coordinator and Rabbi Nosson Hoen, the 8th grade Rebbe, gave out the 8th grade diplomas. Rabbi Yosef Itkin, Chassidus teacher and the Mesivta Mashpia, together with Rabbi Yisroel Altein, Mesivta Maggid Shiur who recently completed his 10th year of teaching, gave out the 11th grade diplomas. They praised and bestowed individual brachos to each graduate.
Rabbi Eliezer Shusterman, Mesivta Maggid Shuir who recently completed his 20th year of teaching, gave out the gifts of appreciation for the 4 Shluchim.
Rabbi Dovid Hayes, Shliach in Ottawa, gave the charge to the graduates.

Aha! I was there 30 yrs ago, made my share of trouble……..the white hair on the ageless rabbi rosenfeld is 30 yrs old…..great school, good people. Congradulations !!!!

A real example of one of our most talented young men who sees the importance of chinuch for our children and has completely dedicated himself to being a mechanech. No doubt the Rebbe is getting tremendous nachas.
