Over the month of Nissan, Kesser Torah College in Dover Heights, Sydney, hosted 150 Jewish students from neighboring public schools this week for an authentic Pesach Experience.
Organized in collaboration with Academy BJE (Board of Jewish Education) and the Jewish Communal Appeal (JCA), the event was attended by Jewish students in Years 3-6 from Bellevue Hill, Rose Bay and Vaucluse Public Schools and Kesser Torah College.
Learning was brought to life as the children engaged in four hands-on Pesach-related activities, and had the opportunity to interact with one another throughout the day.
Rabbi Yosef and Sorale Eichenblatt, who coordinated the event in conjunction with BJE, were thrilled with the outcome of the initiative, which was the result of months of careful planning.
Visiting staff were excited by this innovative opportunity for experiential learning, and together with the students left with boxes of authentic hand-made Matzah beautifully packed by KTC students.
