The Crown Heights Softball League has teamed up with The Friendship Circle to organize an unforgettable event in Lefferts Park this Sunday at noon.
The fun starts with free pizza and refreshing drinks, to be enjoyed in the stands while watching the final minutes of a heated softball game—the Jack Jaffa Rebels versus the undefeated COLlive Tribe. Who will take home the winning title? This is one game not to be missed.
However, that is only the beginning of the fun-in-the-sun that is sure to be a most memorable day.
Following the game—which should include a few base hits, a couple of pop-ups, and hopefully, with the right amount of cheering from the sidelines, a number of home runs—the Friendship Circle children will have the opportunity to join our neighborhood’s star players on the field to meet, sign autographs, and play some ball.
It’s not every day that these children have the opportunity to man a base or swing a bat with residents of celebrity status.
A limited supply of team jerseys will be distributed by David Roitblat of Better Accounting Solutions, so get there while supplies last.
The dedicated volunteers and staff of The Friendship Circle work hard to create a caring and supportive community for children and teens with special needs right here in Brooklyn. It is the hope of all of those involved that this collaborative affair be an enjoyable one for the entire neighborhood.
Come out to show your support and be a part this historic community event, made possible by The Friendship Circle’s volunteers and the softball league’s sponsors—Advantage Wholesale Supply, Better Accounting Solutions, Jack Jaffa & Associates, MV Express at Leasing Direct, Landmark Funding Group, COLlive, The Print House, and YQ Media.
