Building on the momentum of previous years and the energy felt among Chassidim surrounding the day of Hei Teves, several special programs to mark this auspicious day are being planned by Vaad Or v’Chom Hahiskashrus and Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim, in coordination with Vaad Agudas Chasidei Chabad Haolomi.
Hei Teves Hachono Teleconference
In preparation for the Yom Tov of Hei Teves a global Teleconference Farbrengen is scheduled for Monday, Bais Teves (Dec 14). Join Chassidim from around the world by calling into the Farbrengen which begins at 3:30pm on Monday afternoon.
Leading the phone farbrengen are Rabbi Yisroel Altein of Pittsburgh, PA, Rabbi Shaul Wilhelm of Oslo, Norway and Rabbi Avrohom Sternberg of New London, Connecticut.

Farbrengen by the Ohel
As in previous years, a special program will take place on Wednesday night Hei Teves at the Ohel.
The program begins at 6:30pm with a video presentation “A MOVEMENT ON TRIAL”. A Movement on Trial, produced by JEM in connection with Hei Teves last year, explores the events surrounding the theft of books and manuscripts from the Rebbe’s library and their subsequent return to their rightful place in 770. The events presented in this film illustrate that this was not only a legal challenge, but also a spiritual struggle over the very “soul” of Lubavitch, and even over the very definition of what a Rebbe is.”
The formal part of the Farbrengen begins at 8:30 and will feature several speakers, travelling to NY especially for the occasion from across the continent, who will be presenting in English, Yiddish and Hebrew.
Chassidishe Farbrengens between the Bochurim, Anash and Shluchim participating are expected to continue well into the night.

The Program will feature videos and numerous Guest Speakers, followed by a full night of Sheves Achim Gam Yachad with Chassidim and Mashpiyim leading the crowd in Farbrengens for various ages and languages.
