On Chof Cheshvan, nearly 70 mechanchim from Chabad schools across South Florida gathered for an uplifting farbrengen in honor of Chof Cheshvan, the birthday of the Rebbe Rashab, founder of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim.
The event, hosted by Rabbi Elazar Gedj of Chabad of Forest Lakes Estates—a mechanech himself—brought together educators for an evening of inspiration, camaraderie, and renewal.
The farbrengen featured divrei hisorerus from Rabbis Yossi Sputz, Rabbi Yossi Chodakov, and Rabbi Nochum Schapiro. Together, they led the farbrengen in meaningful discussions about the sacred mission of chinuch and the practical application of Chassidus in the classroom.
Rabbi Zalman Shneur of the Menachem Education Foundation – a co-sponsor of the event – expressed his gratitude for the event, saying, “I want to thank Rabbi Zash Itkin and Rabbi Zalmy Mochkin for organizing this wonderful farbrengen. May all the hachlatos and brachos shared be fulfilled.”
The evening created a sense of unity among mechanchim, as expressed by one attendee: “What a beautiful event—bringing us all together as one community.”
Through heartfelt niggunim, inspiring stories, and practical insights, mechanchim left with renewed dedication to their vital role in shaping the next generation.
