Over the past year, the RCCS organization has celebrated, together with the families of three of its youngest patients, the remission of “three little miracles” — 3 young boys who battled a fight for their young lives and Baruch Hashem are now cancer-free.
Since 1997, RCCS, the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society, has been “Funding Miracles” by providing an array of services for cancer-stricken patients in need.
Primary among these life-saving programs is the subsidizing of health insurance premiums, enabling these patients to obtain the best possible medical care.
The heart-warming news was the impetus and inspiration for “Illuminations,” a song that describes the arduous journey of a family whose child was stricken with ‘yene machla’, R”L.
This emotional and inspiring melody was sung by Michoel Pruzansky and arranged by Leib Yaacov Rigler. It was composed by Noam Kamelhar and Pruzansky, with lyrics by Yossie Beren Choir by Yedidim.
These stars in the world of Jewish music have combined their unique talents to produce a theme song to benefit the many hundreds of cancer patients annually being assisted by RCCS, the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society.
This beautiful composition and production will be sung live at the RCCS Simulcast Miracles Chinese Auction drawing, on December 19, right before Chanukah. Over $400,000 worth of prizes will be awarded that evening, plus the Split-the-Pot Jackpot which, last year, amounted to over $234,000!

LYRICS:
In his bed he lies alone
Like a prisoner in his home
Weak and numb
How can he come
To face another day?
Just a boy of nine
Yet he’s aged beyond his time
Sits alone
Inside his home
Will it ever be alright?
He wants to run, jump and play
Like all the other boys,
Feel the wind blow though his hair
Carefree and full of joy.
How do we help him stand and smile
Be the best that he can be
To be hopeful, young, and free?
Mother smiles when she can
But her friends can’t understand
Despite her pain and fears
She won’t reveal
The reason for her tears.
“Father’s here” he softly says
Standing watch beside his bed.
He smiles eagerly
For his son to see
Yet his heart is filled with pain.
How can he go back to work
As his bills to heaven reach
Who will feed her children
She’s so tired and so weak
Who will help to ease their pain
Be there to dry their tears
Help calm their growing fears?
There’s an ear out there that hears the call
There’s a hand outstretched won’t let you fall
Help be the ones to ease their plight
Illuminate this endless night
They ease away the fears
No more bills, no more tears
He will run and play
It’s all okay
Thank you RCCS
There’s an ear out there that hears the call
There’s a hand outstretched won’t let you fall
Help be the ones to ease their plight
Illuminate this endless night
RCCS we stand as one
Funding Miracles with care and love
Shining light on through the darkest times
Illuminate this endless night
