Another storm arrived late Monday into Tuesday, bringing up to 5 inches of snow to parts of the Tri-State Area.
The snow continues to fall Tuesday, with some mixing along the coast by midday. The precipitation is expected to taper off later in the afternoon.
Once it’s all said and done, the coast will likely see 1 to 3 inches of accumulation, with 2 to 5 inland and northwest.
Temperatures will also be very cold Tuesday, with highs right around the freezing mark.
The National Weather Service issued winter weather alerts that stretch from NJ to Long Island, and schools announced delays and closings throughout.
New York City also issued a travel advisory, and Alternate Side Parking Regulations are suspended Tuesday. New Jersey has implemented a weather-related speed restriction on the Turnpike.

I was hoping we would get 770 days without snow
We’re in NYC not having snow forever isn’t going to happen bro
The guy that wrote snowstorm – calm down my guy
Where is the storm? All i see is a thin blanket of snow! Move to the north to see what real snow means :;)
Chill!
Recently, at Shachris, I said that I remember days in December where
the highs were in the teens (For sure, January should have that)!
So, someone asked me: “Are you a proponent of global warming?”
I remember, I remember,
Ere my childhood flitted by,
It was cold then in December
And was warmer in July.
In the winter there were freezings,
In the summer there were thaws,
But the weather isn’t now at all
Like what it used to was.
